Hi everyone,
I hope you have all been enjoying the week so far - here's the latest B&C and Academy scoop!
Bodinnar Cup
Our Ladies played in the Bodinnar Cup last Tuesday. The winners were Gerry Badger & Lisbeth Jensen with Lynne Vowles & Christine Taylor in second place and Jo Harrison & Angela Holland in third. Congratulations Ladies!
Weekday Medal
The Weekday Medal last Wednesday was won by Richard Carver, with Greg Gough in second place. Brilliant golf guys.
Reid Quaich
The winner of the Reid Quaich last Sunday was my friend Tony Mann with a quite spectacular nett 64. Tony's gross score nearly beat his age. What a performance Tony, well done.

Wow so much going on and so much to report on - I can't wait.
So what about little old us in the pro shop?
We have once again been busy arranging things, coaching people and doing new initiatives…
Firstly Andy welcomed a group of children from Baytree Special School last week to come to the club for an authentic experience of a golf course. We have coached before actually at their school fields in Weston and have more sessions booked there following on from this week, but for this one occasion they wanted the pupils to experience the feel of a proper golf club. They had a great time.
Paul has been working with our Junior Team last Sunday. Last year we promised them some free team coaching as it is a great way to bond as a team and to keep their game fresh. These kids are so important to us and the club - they are the future and we need to nurture them. Five Bristol & District Junior Golf League players joined Paul for a morning of various coaching and skills challenge activities - over to Paul.
I had five of our star studded B&C junior team turn up for Team Coaching and the days theme was pitching.
Finnian Smith, Angus Allen, Willem Cole, Harry Kennedy and
Archie Grayson showed great skills at a test designed to improve their skills from 50 to 100 yards from the green.
We worked on differing positions of the backswing, relative to the distance of the shot and the boys showed some great ability.
It was wonderful to work with them and with a number of team matches yet to be played, we all wish them the best of luck in the league.
Their next team coaching session is on Saturday, 11 June at 11am - If you have played for our Junior Teams and are not currently signed up, please do come along. It's completely free to all participants.
We also held our
PING Demo Day this week - fully booked and raring to go. The PING fitter Johnny is a great guy, very knowledgeable and an expert at his role.
I am sure everyone who came had a great time.

If you are interested in arranging your fitting with us here at B&C, come and have a chat with us in the pro shop, or
click here to get in touch.
Jimmy Mullen played at Frilford Heath in the Europro PDC Championship last week, coming 5th with an excellent 6 under.
Ebonie Lewis headed to Spain for her Spain V Inglaterra Under 16 Match. She's a cracking player and we see great things ahead of her.
This week I would like to thank
Phil Bowry for a lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio - Phil you are a lovely man.
I would also like to thank
Franco for donating his marshalling money to us for our Inclusion sessions here at the club - what a fab guy you are Franco. Thank you from all the team and the children who benefit so greatly from our work.
I would also like to thank
Tony Mann for donating enough zoo tickets to be able to take a class at Cam's school to the zoo. This is a very generous gift to the school and I am very grateful to Tony who is such a good friend to us.
As you all know, Luke is sadly leaving us and his last day at the club is 5th June. Those of you who are on courses with Luke will need to book and complete these by then. Please call the Pro Shop to book a lesson time. Unfortunately after 5th June, these lessons will not be able to be transferred to any other member of staff so don't delay, book in today!
Click here to get in touch to request your lesson with Luke.
On that note, have a great week
Caren, Paul, Andy &
Luke
