Hi everyone,
Let me start by saying Happy New Year to you all. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and that Santa brought you everything you wanted.
The Cocktail party on 1st was very well attended and enjoyed by all. Many congrats to our Captains who all had their drive ins - Clive, Sarah and Steve.
Thanks to Linda and Bob for continually awesome photography.
We also hold our annual Pro Shop Xmas raffle draw on this day every year. Click Here to see a list of the winners and their prizes for this year
Well done to everyone who purchased the golden tickets!
We will be reporting next week on the Winter January Open and the January Stableford, so keep an eye out for those.
We are all back and fresh for 2017, after a most enjoyable and relaxing festive season. This year promises to hold many good things for us, alongside a pro shop baby - can't wait!
At the moment, we are holding our after Christmas sale, which includes clothing, selected golf bags, selected putters and equipment, so to avoid disappointment pop in early to bag a bargain.
We have also been busy with a touch of staff training in the form of Callaway fitting expert Liam, who has been to see us to fill us in on the new 2017 product coming soon - it's certainly going to be exciting. Can't say much more because it's a secret!
For our Juniors, we have released our Junior Coaching schedule for 2017, alongside our Tiny Tots Tri Golf coaching dates for the year. See below or Click Here to open a bigger copy or pop into the shop where we will be happy to print you one. This year will be bigger and better than ever for our Juniors and I can't wait! We have gained another new junior girl member, who is being taught by Paul, so welcome Imogen to the club.
We have also joined forces with Junior Team Manager Mark Kennedy to sponsor the junior team kit once again. As we will no longer be stocking Nike, this season the boys will be kitted out in Under Armour and they're going to look as awesome as they are! Thank you to Mark for being a co-sponsor and helping the lads out so much - we appreciate everything you do Mark.
Andy starts the first school coaching of the year next week at Ravenswood, and then he heads further afield for Inclusion work at Fosseway school the week after. We will shortly be announcing the home inclusion coaching dates for this year as well as news of a new series of 5 for £25 Get into Golf beginner sessions so stay tuned for next week's news.
Finally as an academy we are so terribly upset to have lost Doug Peters. He was an absolute gentleman, friend, incredible support for me when I was unwell last year and just a genuinely wonderful man. Rest in peace my friend.
On that note, take care of yourselves and see you next week.
Caren, Paul, Andy and Nick
