So let's move along to the pro shop for the latest here!
This week we have all been busy with our own little things but what we all agreed was that we are all extremely busy! As we don't want our customer service to suffer whilst I am still away, we decided to seek some extra help in the Pro Shop. Step forward lovely Mary Clifford, who will be helping us out (even when I return) throughout the summer. It will certainly be a pleasure to not be outnumbered by the blokes anymore - girl power! Mary will be trained in the new intelligent golf systems over the next few weeks and I'm looking forward to working with her on my July return.
Now it's over to Paul for his weekly report!
Just a Quickie.....
The Captain and I played our very first Captain Pro Challenge together last Friday against the formidable Jason Dayus and legendary rugby player, Craig Short. We had a great match but unfortunately lost to a very consistent foursomes pairing. I was extremely rusty and managed to put Clive in the trees on the 1st and 11th holes but I thought we did pretty well to take them to the penultimate hole. Thanks guys for such a good entertaining match.
Our next opponents are Mike Innes and Robin Pearce-Williams on Wednesday, 14 June, so Clive and I will be very much looking forward to another tough match. Both the Charity Pro Am and the Captain's Charity Day are filling up fast so don't forget to organise your teams and sign up for either or both of these fantastic events. The Captain's Charity Day is on Friday, 7 July with shotgun starts at 8.45am and 2.00pm. The Charity PGA Pro Am is on Monday, 31 July. Enter online or entry forms are available from the Club Office or Spike Bar.
We now only have just the one appointment slot available for the PING Fitting Day on the afternoon of Friday, 2 June. If you would like to book the final slot, please let us know asap.
Special Offer.....
FootJoy Contour Casuals are possibly the most comfortable golf shoe currently on the market and I have a great deal on them. Only available through my buying group Foremost Golf, I have purchased a number of pairs at a discounted rate. The waterproof lightweight spikeless shoe normally retails for £109 but I have discounted them to an amazing £69.99. Grab a bargain before I sell out!
Also for any size 7 golfers out there, I have four pairs of 2016 FooJoy shoes that are half price. Starting from £39 for a pair of summer weight Footjoy spikeless AWD shoes to the FootJoy Contour starting at £49 (available in brown only).
With the warmer weather arriving, the Under Armour has been flying out of the shop and the new Under Armour shoes have also been popular. Don't forget to spread the word that we now have a large stock of junior Under Armour shorts, trousers, fleeces and shirts.
And finally......
We are looking for second hand golf clubs to give away to juniors and beginners. I often get asked if I have any sets of irons, putters and woods for people just starting the game and I generally have very little to give away. If anyone has any reasonably conditioned second hand clubs of any kind that they are happy to donate then please let me know, as we would be very happy to take them off your hands.
So here's looking forward to a great week for us all!
On that note, bye for now
