It doesn't stop at B&CGC...
Even with the children going back to school it's been a usual busy week here at Bristol and Clifton Golf Club.
On Saturday our Club Captain Andrew Cheetham, with the help of his wife Sarah, hosted Club Captain's Day. The Bowmaker format 'with a twist' went incredibly well, the weather was dry and sunny. Along with the kind hospitality of the Captain providing a tasty BBQ, the social buzz and club spirit was ringing around the Clubhouse marquee. The Captain's Day winners were Fiona Welborn, Ben Spencer, James Pugh & Jack Giles with an amazing score of 108 points. What a great team and well played to you all. Another highlight of the day was plus one handicapper Ross Adamson's shot to the par 3 13th, which managed to find the bottom of the cup, or should I say, touched the sponge! A brilliant hole in one which also came with the added bonus of winning a large sweep pot of almost £700. What a time to have a hole in one! Following the hustle and bustle of a great day on Saturday, the Suspension Bridge Cup on Sunday was too a popular bogey competition. Mike Power came out victorious with a superb score of 39 points. Mike has been working incredibly hard over the past few months to imporve his game which included a long and and soggy chipping session with Paul just a week or so ago. This is a great example of desire to improve and putting in the work to do it. Well done Mike! |
