Hi everyone
Regrets, I’ve had a few....but coming back isn’t one of them!
It’s been awesome to see a number of you amazing people over the last few weeks since my part-time return. I am so excited to be back in the Pro Shop and to be working for you all again. There are a lot of new faces which I don’t recognise but I hope to meet everyone in due course. For everyone else whom I know, it’s great to be back and thank you for coming to see me and make me feel so welcome.
I’d like to thank you all for being so courteous through this very difficult circumstance we find ourselves in. During the winter, we are closing the window (as you can imagine it’s a tad parky in the shop with two doors and a window open!), but you can always come in as we will have a disposable mask available and sanitiser at all times. If you knock at the window, we will endeavour to open it to talk to you if you would prefer. Our back door is also now closed and exit will be as it has always been. Please rest assured we will continue to put yours and our staff's safety first.
Now as always I head on to the topic of Christmas. COVID you’re not going to dampen our spirits! I’m here to tell you we are still doing our Professional’s Christmas Draw yay! This year’s going to be a little different in that we have done away with the neon paper and the signup sheet. This year we’re doing...wait for it....a raffle! You come into the pro shop (or knock at our window!), pay £1 or get 6 for £5, we write your name on the tickets and they go straight into the tombola. Couldn’t be simpler! As we are not sure what we will be able to do in terms of a New Years Day draw, we have decided to do a socially distanced draw with the whole thing being videoed for our newsletter. We will also be notifying winners by email or Instagram message. So if you want to win big, come and buy your raffle tickets! Available in-store now. We also accept BACS if you want to enter but feel more comfortable doing that.
This week, I am choosing the new stock for the Ladies’ Department for next Spring. I can’t really give away too much but I can give you a sneak peek....there’s some lovely stuff on the way. Next year we were going to have our third fashion show, but I’m sad to say it looks like this won’t go ahead. I will be hoping to hold a shopping day with vouchers instead, so look out for more info after the new year.
Our new signage is going to be updated in the next few weeks, to include the new staff and to remove staff which no longer work with us. This is going to look amazing, and we’d like to thank Linda Meaton for all her help with this. We’ll add some photos to the newsletter when these arrive.
Finally, over the course of the new few weeks, we are looking to increase our newsletter database. This will become more important when we add giveaways, new equipment, video instructionals and innovations In the golf market to our newsletter. So we are asking everyone who is already subscribed to ask a friend to subscribe to the newsletter. That way everyone will benefit from watching the staff give the very best of advice. I thank you in advance for your support.
So now I’m moving on to Scott and his weekly content. Scott explains the benefit of the new Capto putting system Paul has purchased to aid the fitting of new putters - after all, you can’t argue with the science!
See you soon, Caren xx
