I hope you have all had a great week so far and enjoyed your bank holiday weekend. As I write, the sky is much greyer but I’m still boiling from the humidity! Turn on your fan and grab a cold drink whilst you read this week’s Pro Shop news!
We move onto coaching news now. Scotty Bridgeman gave his lovely mum Jane a lesson here at B&C last week. Over to Scott for more!
"In this week's newsletter, I want to share a special moment from a recent lesson with a very special student—my mum! As a PGA Professional, it’s always a joy to help golfers of all levels refine their skills, and this session was no exception. She seemed to be losing distance with her tee shots and the occasional thin, which We focused on keeping her right foot grounded through the swing as she tended to lift that foot and come out of posture.
This then greatly improved stability and consistency. She’s picked it up nicely and I'm happy to say she’s hitting it 15 yards further. Mum has always said my golfing ability has come from her as she was still playing whilst being 8 months pregnant with me !!!! Now this is my way of giving something back to her!"
I am meeting with a women’s golf clothing designer company later in the week and am super excited to see what new products are available for 2026. More on this to come in a few weeks! We hope to relaunch our own women’s clothing section once again for 2026, and I have seen some amazing designs which I hope to bring to the shop next year. I will also be looking to host another show with this company. I am also meeting with an accessories company in the weeks ahead and there is a supplier for a famous men’s golf clothing brand. Nope I’m not saying until I do the deal haha, so put your patience to the test!
