Hi everyone, it is with the greatest sadness that we inform the members of Bristol and Clifton that our assistant, Matt Blackman, is leaving us for pastures new....
Club News

Hi everyone,
Another busy week was had by all in the Pro Shop. Read on for the latest news here!
The women’s coaching groups here at the club have continued to be fully booked and super busy. Paul runs the Friday groups, and Scott runs Sunday morning sessions for those who work to be able to attend group coaching.
Last Friday, Paul’s emphasis was on putting with his women’s improver group. I took the opportunity to do some David Bailey impressions and photograph the group. As usual, photos are at the top in the carousel.

We held our first inclusion session last week, and seeing the lovely faces of the inclusioners was just so heartwarming to me. They had a great time and look forward to seeing them at the next session in a few weeks.
Our second session with the new class of Ravenswood school pupils went well, and they loved their session with Josh. As I write, they are out in the range with Scott. Knowledge sessions started this week, so we expect to be super busy with them!
I spent the last week or so doing my annual report for the trust, which funds our work with inclusion. It’s a great thing to sit and remember the activities we have done over the past 12 months, and I enjoy it very much when I write about the school work, the sessions here at the club and the festivals. We continue to be funded by this trust (for over 8 years now!) for all our inclusion work, and we remain ever grateful to the then chairman, David Cryer, for helping to get this funded. We are also grateful to David Riddiford, the board and members of this amazing club for supporting our work in this area. Great job B&C!

This week in the academy, we start doing our annual online training for staff - some things have to be done to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, so you may see some of us glued to an iPad in the next week! At least you can be sure of our commitment to our customers and our friends!
We are holding a Famara Golf Pop-up day on 28th June - save the date! This is to go alongside the mixed open, and Famara’s owner Liz, will be bringing collections of women’s clothing which we don’t stock, so you will have more choice and the ability to see and purchase more of Famara’s beautiful boutique collections. This pop-up shop opens at 1 pm and will close at 3.30 pm, so come along to see what’s on offer!

Finally, I’d like to congratulate Mel Savva, wife of lovely member John Savva, who ran in the Boston Marathon a few weeks ago. Not only did she run it, but she also got a personal best of 4 hours 17 minutes. Mel, you are an absolute legend! I couldn’t even do the 17 minutes! We congratulate you on a stunning achievement, and we are super proud of you.

On that note, have a great week
Caren, Paul, Josh, Matt and Scott
